 Wednesday 31 March 2010 - Christchurch/Lake Tekapo
Travel south this morning through the Canterbury Plains then head inland towards Lake Tekapo. This quaint village is surrounded by lake and alpine views and is the perfect setting to take an alpine flight with Air Safaris over the mighty Southern Alps taking in views of Mount Cook and twelve glaciers along the spine of the Alps. This evening we suggest visiting the recently opened Alpine Springs & Spa for a relaxing soak.

Thursday 1 April 2010 - Lake Tekapo/Wanaka or Queenstown
Travelling south head across the Lindis Pass, skirt the edge of Lake Harris and into Wanaka (or onwards to Queenstown). Upon arrival into Wanaka or Queenstown check into your accommodation for the next four nights. The rest of the evening is at leisure to explore these alpine resort towns. Depending on time you can take your Kawarau Jet boat experience this afternoon or alternatively book it in for another day.
Overnight accommodation is at either Grand Mercure Oakridge Resort Wanaka or Mercure Grand St Moritz Queenstown.

An early start this morning back through the Mackenzie Country to Christchurch, stop and visit the Airforce Museum of New Zealand as you enter Christchurch (formally known as Wigram Airforce Museum).
Upon arrival check into your accommodation at Heritage Hotel Christchurch.
Tuesday 6 April - Depart Christchurch
Return your vehicle to the Budget depot at the airport for our onward arrangements.
